Game 13 Hong Kong, China- Lebanon 67-95

Lebanon with 0-4 record planned to bring one victory back to their mother nation. Hong Kong with 1-3 record had to beat his opponent to advance the final. Team Hong Kong sent its three point guards to speed the pace in the first half. This tactic worked pretty well in the first half in which they trailed only seven points. Team Lebanon utilized its strength of the two-meter center and dominated the game in the second half. They scored 51 points whereas team Hong Kong shot 30 only. Marwan Ziadeh and Georges Badawi contributed 24 and 23 points tonite. However, LIANG Man Hung, the shortest player in this championship, scored a game high 25 points but still was not able to carry his team to the final. This win gave Lebanonians had a chance to get the seat in the final if China lose to Iran later tonite. Three teams would have the same record. The technical committee had to compare the loss/gain of score with these teams in order to find the ticket winner.

Game 14 China- Iran 88-58

Two teams played this battle with different purposes. Team China has to win in order to get another seat for the final day whereas team Iran will keep its perfect record if they up.

Even though it guarantees that Iranians would play the gold medal game, they still play with heart. They outscored China by 15 points at 28:13 in the first quarter. China seemed very tired when they had only eight players for five games in a row. They gave up 47 points while only scoring 24. Team China was not able to find their basket either in the second half. This victory gave Iran had a flawless record with 5-0 in the preliminary phase of this Championship. Iran sent 11 of 12 players on court. Mahdi Esmaeili and Aren Davoudi supported 16 and 15 points for this team. With this loss, Team China was the fifth place with 1-4 in this Championship. WANG yang and YU Guang-long made 16 points, respectively.

Game 15 Korea-Chinese Taipei 80-88

Korea and Chinese Taipei fought a hard battle for the ticket of the gold meda game.  With the help from great shooter SONG Chang Yong, Korea took the lead in the first quarter at 27:21.  In the second quarter, the referee sentenced Korean KIM Woo Kyum a foul, making Team Korea's coach feel resentful. He called back the players to demonstrate the protest. With all the audiences cheered for Chinese Taipei, TPE catch up and led by 1 point at 44:43.  In the third quarter, both team fouled one after another.  Team Korea's coach again called back the players and displayed his dissatisfied toward referee.  Therefore the referee sent him 2 technical fouls so that CHEN Shun Hsiang received 6 free throws.  Although in the last quarter, 4 players from Chinese Taipei all fouled out, Korea still could not reverse the game because of the previous irreparable loss.  Finally, Chinese Taipei embraced the victory at 88:80, entering the Champion Game against team Iran.

Chinese Taipei's CHEN Shun Hsiang scored 34 points, and made the most contribution of this important battle.  WU Dai Hao, the captain of Chinese Taipei, score 14 points with 7 rebounds.  Korean SONG Chang Yong shot 26 points while LEE Sang Il scored 18 points with 11 rebounds.
